Welcome to Gyanmandala Yoga Studio

Conscious Living

Gyanmandala Yoga Studio was established with an intention to create community and a peaceful sanctuary in the city of Kathmandu. A place to share our practice, to grow together and to support each other, but most importantly to cultivate a practice of yoga off the yoga mat. Yoga is an incredible tool to clean, strengthen and invigorate your heart, body, and mind. It is a system, philosophy, psychology, body practice, and a quest. The intention of Gyanmandala Yoga Studio is that the benefits of the practice will move and inspire all aspects of life, bringing well being and peace not only to individuals but communities as a whole.

Feel free to contact us , learn more about us, check our yoga retreats, our memberships and daily classes. We look forward to welcome you on the mat.

Testimonials

We believe in building a community

  • I love to go do my weekly Yoga practice in this spacious studio! It is not only a beautiful and clean space but it also offers a wide variety of practices and teachers that are accessible for people practicing yoga at any stage! The teachers are very kind and respectful and always willing to help or solve any doubts. There are retreats and workshops happening at least monthly so it is always a great opportunity to learn new things! One of the best thing is the location! The whole building is full of interesting Nepali businesses (coffee shop, dance studio, vegetarian restaurant, music school, etc). Overall a great place to hang out and approach yoga and other activities that Kathmandu has to offer!!

  • I've been inspired to deepen and continue my yoga practice by a series of excellent vinyasa flow, Ashtanga and yin yoga practices. Thank you team for helping me keep sane in Kathmandu.

  •   I have been practicing yoga for three years at Gyan Mandala with several highly-skilled teachers; they are the reason why I keep returning. The studio offers a great variety of classes - from active Ashtanga to relaxing yin yoga to traditional Hatha - and there is a good mix of physical and spiritual practice. I always leave the studio in a great mood, with a positive attitude. Gyan Mandala is an inclusive environment - classes are suitable for all levels and teachers are great at offering students a variety of options to suit their particular skill level. I am so grateful to have the opportunity and privilege to practice multiple days a week at Gyan Mandala. I have also participated in several retreats to Neydo Monastery and Hattiban, which have been amazing escapes from the city, and an opportunity to connect with a great community to people
